The holidays are almost over and it’s time to ring in the new year of 2018. Since a lot of us like to celebrate the New Year in style, often heading out to a fancy party, I thought I would do an outfit styling in a festive and fun way! A lot of ladies tend to opt for skirts and sequin dresses around this time of year, and while those are gorgeous, they’re just not warm enough. It’s less than 0’c in a lot of countries, so make sure you’re dressed suitably and stylish!
With that in mind, I wanted to put an outfit together that was warm, but had layers that were removable so that you don’t get too hot while dancing. I opted for these Rag & Bone Skinny Burgundy Velvet Jeans as I thought they were so pretty! I’m a huge fan of burgundy velvet and these instantly caught my eye as they’re perfect for this time of year too. They’re a soft velveteen fabric made from cotton, rayon and spandex, so they should be comfortable! They feature an 8″ rise, a 30″ inseam, and an 11″ leg opening, so they look like a great full length skinny.
I decided to style them with a Pierre Balmain blazer with gold buttons, a gold silk Raey cami top to match, and then use accessories to jazz it up. For the shoes, a simple strappy sandal like the pair on the model will do to keep things minimal. To complement the burgundy tone of the velvet, I went with a similar lip and nail shade to add some glamour and then a gold ring and necklace as well. I find this outfit to be simple and elegant, all while being easy wearing and stylish. What do you think of it? I’m especially in love with the jeans!
