This February, the 46-year-old Modern Family star, in partnership with Walmart, launched her clothing line Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara. The launch was a success as every denim style sold out within the first few weeks, isn’t that amazing? The good news is that Sofia Vergara’s newest line of denim jeans and shorts have finally been restocked. So what has made this line so popular?

The collaboration features nearly 100 different pieces, including denim jackets, shirts, and T-shirts in sizes ranging from XS to 3XL, all priced under $40. The denim bottoms and shorts are available in sizes 0-20.

“This collection is designed to make you look and feel your best,” Sofia told her Instagram followers. “It’s for everybody and every body.”

Sofía Jeans by Sofía Vergara will offer new products seasonally. Liz Rizzo, director of Exclusive Brands at Walmart, points out that the line could possibly expand beyond those sizes, as well. They plan to listen to customer feedback very carefully and do their best to cater to what shoppers want. I think that’s great news for everyone as a lot of brands and denim stop at size 32.

Hiplatina claims that Sofia’s Latin heritage was a source of inspiration for the collection. Some of the denim styles, like the Veronica Relaxed and the Paula Jogger, are named after Vergara’s family members. One of Sofia’s favorite items in the collection is the Margarita denim skirt, which is named after her mother.

“The women in my family are all beautiful but they’re all different,” Vergara told Self. “Some are short, some are tall, some are skinny, some are voluptuous, everything. So, I kind of mimicked the styles of jeans that they each like to wear.”

When it comes to jeans the actress is clearly a fan. Last 2018, Sofia was spotted wearing a pair of cropped ankle skinny jeans with a raw hem in Beverly Hills and we’ve seen her numerous times over the years rocking different pairs too. It is clear that jeans are her fist love and Sofia has uploaded lots of photos of herself on Instagram wearing ripped skinnies, straight cuffed jeans, and even denim joggers, which are tagged #daysofdenim.

Sofia Vergara is not the first celebrity to integrate inclusivity into their work. Last August, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres teamed up with Walmart to create a new denim-based clothing line called EV1 that also promoted inclusiveness, empowerment and body positivity.

This is a clear indication of how the fashion industry is becoming more diverse, inclusive and open. Well-known brands like Mod Cloth, Old Navy and ASOS have also been joining this body positivity trend. Fashion brands are now offering sizes that were previously not available for certain clothes. The shorts showcased on Woman Within start at a size 12, whether the style is a denim cutoff or any other type of design, showing how the fashion industry is now reflecting a more common starting size. Like Sofia Vergara, Woman Within believes that clothing should be able to fit every body type. There is also Universal Standard who recently announced that everything in their store is now available in sizes U.S. 00-40.

The fashion industry has seen more inclusivity on runways, ads, and social media. Celebrity figures like Sofia Vergara are contributing to raising awareness on the importance of inclusivity and diversity within the fashion industry. With the jeans now back in stock at Walmart, now is the time to go get them. What do you think of her line? Have any of you bought pieces from it?
