Style Icon Alexa Chung Designs Collection For AG Jeans

British model and style icon, Alexa Chung, has teamed up with one of the leading premium denim and lifestyle brands, AG Jeans, to create a brand new collaboration collection which will launch in store in Spring 2015. Both Alexa and AG Jeans are incredibly excited about this new partnership and I know so many of us denim lovers are too! I know I can’t wait for the release!

The 20-piece collection unites AG’s design expertise with Alexa’s innate sense of cool, infusing modern staples and alluring throwbacks with a free-spirited energy. Centered on effortless wearability, the collaboration features a range of covetable silhouettes, including vintage-inspired overalls, mod dresses, perfect-?t tees, and high-waisted jeans. It also looks like there might be a button up skirt in there and some lace going on at the fly area, as well as exposed button closures. “I visited their [AG] of?ces in LA and was delighted to discover it was also the site of their factory. I liked that it is a family business and that they are experts on denim technology,” said Alexa Chung. “I found the trip incredibly inspiring and an opportunity to learn about denim and make things I had been dreaming about ?nding. The collection is inherently the missing pieces of my dream denim wardrobe, which, as ever, is predominantly inspired by a late Sixties, early Seventies aesthetic.”

“Identifying our next collaborator for AG has been a long and thought-out process. Our goal was to partner with someone who has a unique view on fashion and paves her own path in order to bring a fresh take on denim,” said Sam Ku, Creative Director at AG. “After countless back and forth internal discussions, we trusted our instincts and chose to pursue a collaboration with Alexa Chung. As a modern day fashion icon, Alexa is a muse to some of the most incredible fashion designers in the world, yet remains real and accessible to the everyday woman looking to her as a fashion in?uence and inspiration. She has brought to the collaboration her impeccable taste and keen eye for what’s coming next, and we’re excited to partner with her on the Alexa Chung For AG collection.”

Just like Alexa mentioned above, the AG headquarters is also home to their factory, Koos Manufacturing, in California. I can imagine how excited she must have been to visit! In terms of the brand new Alexa Chung and AG Jeans collaboration though, the pieces will be available in January 2015 at select AG wholesale accounts as well as at the brand’s wholly owned retail stores and e-commerce site.
