Our Find of the Week this week is on the new SJYP Reverse Detail Denim Skirt. I’m not posting this one because I’ve fallen in love with it, but because it’s really unique and different. I’m doing a blog post soon on the way denim is going, into the gimmick area, so this one is sort of like an introduction to that.
So as you can see, SJYP have completely turned this denim skirt upside down. The waistband is at the bottom, but there’s pockets up the top so that you know it’s intentional. It’s made from 100% cotton in a mid blue wash with distressed areas. Usually I’m all about flattering fits, especially from behind, so I’m not sure how I feel about the pockets being at the bottom and not actually on the butt. I feel like this is more of a fun, gimmick piece you’d wear once, but for the price tag of $332, I don’t really think that’s feasible. What do you think?
