24 Hot New Coated Jeans For 2019

J Brand 835 Mid-Rise Crop Skinny Jeans in Phenomena

As it’s Autumn and it will soon be Winter with the holidays rolling around, what better time than to get some new coated jeans? Coated denim always reminds me of the cooler months, especially the festive period as they’re so much fun, jazzing up an otherwise flat pair of jeans, and they seem to be trending hugely again for 2018/2019, which is amazing news!

We saw the rise of waxed and leatherette jeans a few years ago, but they’re out in full force again and there’s everything from plain black, to moto detailing, to bright reds, right down to metallics and even printed versions… there’s a pair for everyone, for any occasion! Of course my favourite pair of coated jeans would still be the Citizens of Humanity Rocket in Leatherette as they’re amazing! I think I have owned mine since 2013 and I still wear them now – I recommend them to everyone.

For those of you who are looking to go for something more bold and daring though, I think red is the way to go! If you don’t want bright primary red, burgundy is the perfect option as it’s darker and more subtle, but still as gorgeous, and it works perfectly for Autumn right now due to the hues.

I love the idea of wearing silver, bronze, gold etc. for the holiday season too as it’s so bright and festive, perfect for parties and blending in with decorations in December. They can be dressed up or down just like normal jeans, and they wont look out of place as everyone goes all out for Christmas. If you do want to keep it more low key though, I have chosen multiple black options for you below, just like I have done with the coated red jeans too. I think both of these shades are needed.

I will admit I do have a thing for those emerald green L’AGENCE skinny jeans as well – How amazing are those? Especially paired with the entire outfit on the model. I love it! I also adore the Rag & Bone Blush Red Metallic as they’re a muted red, almost pink, and they’re super pretty. If you want to go all out though, there’s a pair of coated leopard print jeans which make a statement in more ways than one. Mixing two trends in one as leopard print jeans are trending again too. If you want foiled silver though, that’s always an idea, or you can try out the pearl versions.

There’s so many to choose from, hence why I’ve gone big with this post and chosen 24 pairs. If you’ve never bought coated jeans though because you don’t know how to wash coated leatherette jeans, I did a post on that before, so don’t worry! We have you covered! Now it’s time to start shopping, so just click the jeans photos below and it will take you to the buying page! Which pair is your favourite here?

Seems like every brand is moving towards higher hems and waists but a lot of them look really nice. Of the 24 the top 2 for me is COH and 7FAM. I got the COH racer ones in black as u suggested and they are every bit as good as you said they are and I’m very satisfied with them. Equally good are Paige Verdugo Luxe coated jeans and 7FAM coated jeans from several years ago. I find they are all 10 out of 10 for fit and design. AG made some really nice waxy finish jeans in the past that look just as good but I don’t own any myself. Hopefully coated jeans will have the same staying power as skinny jeans. Jeans made of actual leather look nice but tend to have a knee seam which I’m not a fan and coated jeans are a more affordable alternative anyway.

I’ve seen a lot that don’t have a knee seam for the leather ones, but you’re right, they come with a hefty price tag! I’m glad you love the COH, they really are the most perfect coated jean and everyone I’ve told about them raves about them too! I love them!
