Finding inspiration can come from anywhere. It can come from looking at the ocean horizon for that perfect shade of blue or even from the most gritty of places, like a gutter. Not only can it inspire, but it also leaves a memory, imprinted with you for years. This is a post that was inspired by this concept. Sometimes, just looking at something can make you think of a piece of clothing and in this case it was jeans, mostly because of the colors and textures and vice versa.
From rocky beaches that make me think of R13’s signature wash, to glowing jellyfish that bring up those sequined Ashish boyfriend jeans and the metal pipes of a motorcycle that got me thinking of the coated styles of J Brand, this is what I envisioned as my own personal inspiration for these jeans. What do they remind you of? Something similar or completely different?
What a great post Lorna! I see jeans like you do, I see inspiration for jeans everywhere. One style/wash I never can seem to find is a nice regular dark blue wash with a natural-looking greenish tint to it. I have the vision but never seen it! Do you know of a good one out there?
Hi Lana! Actually Jonathan did this post! My inspiration jeans post is coming up this week, it’s a cool idea isn’t it? I do actually know of the greenish tint, however it’s not dark blue, it’s a really light blue by Rag & Bone with a soft green tint. Dark blue with green are so hard to find! I think mainly because they don’t really pair well with anything lol!
