Our find of the week this week is on the AGOLDE Sophie High Rise Skinny Crop Jeans in Spite. I recently saw them in the new in section and thought they were fantastic. It’s rare that we see a great wash these days in a flattering fit, something that’s more classic, in among a sea of fashion jeans, so these really jumped out to me and reminded me of a pair of jeans I used to wear.
I have a couple of pairs of the AGOLDE Sophie Crop and if you’re wondering on the fit, they’re very similar to Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in almost every way. The brand was founded by Citizens of Humanity so they are very close in designs. These feature a 9.75″ rise, an inseam of 25.25″ and a leg opening of 10.75″, so you can see they’re a great high rise ankle skinny.
The denim itself is made from a 94% cotton, 4% polyester, 2% elastane blend so they’re bound to be quite comfortable, and the Spite wash was really what drew my eyes to these in the first place. It’s a mid blue with fading and whiskered details, but the star of the show is the distressed areas on the legs. They feature heavy knee distressing and holes, as well as abrasions elsewhere.
Do you get as excited as I do when you see a great wash on a pair of jeans too? I’m hoping some celebrities sport these soon. I can imagine Hilary Duff looking great in them as they’d be right up her street in terms of personal taste. It’s about time we went back to good old fashioned washes and flattering cuts instead of these crazy trend jeans that you only wear to make a statement once in a photo. What’s your opinion on that?
