One of our favourite (and celebrity favourite, I might add!) re-worked denim brands, RE/DONE, is excited to launch The Elsa jean which is a collaboration with Swedish model and newest Victoria’s Secret angel, Elsa Hosk. Those of you who read The Jeans Blog regularly will know that RE/DONE is a newer brand that take vintage Levi’s jeans and rework them into modern fits while still keeping the heritage of the denim.
The Elsa is a jean that was made to give you the longest possible leg silhouette. Starting with a belly button grazing high-rise on top, this jean extends down to graze the floor. The leg is shaped into a baby bell-bottom that features a slit on the inside to accommodate a boot or a sneaker for that 90’s vibe. Like all RE/DONE jeans, the Elsa is made from beautifully repurposed vintage Levi’s and looks amazing.
Growing up in Stockholm, Elsa Hosk was a vintage denim fanatic early on and would scour the flea markets for new jeans. Living out her dream, she worked closely with RE/DONE founders Sean Barron and Jamie Mazur at their factory in Downtown Los Angeles to make sure her vision for the perfect vintage jean came to life. The Elsa campaign, which you can see here, was shot on location in Turks and Caicos by photographer Sam Crawford and styled by Alison Malter. I just love how these photos came out!
