I’m starting December off with my third collaboration between The Jeans Blog and Zappos! This is my second styling challenge and it’s with the AG The Legging Ankle Contour 360 jeans in Crater. You probably already know that I am a huge fan of AG Jeans, especially their Legging fit, as it’s super flattering and one of the most comfortable fabrics with authentic looking washes. I hadn’t yet tried the brands new Contour 360 range though, despite having seen and heard lots about it when I saw the new collection at their press day in London earlier in the year.
In comparison to their regular Legging material, these are a lot more stretchy as the elastane is woven all throughout the denim yarn, creating a 360 stretch. This is really evident as they are incredibly easy to move in and I’m pretty sure you could do yoga in them! I would say because of this stretch though, they do run bigger, so even though I took a 26 which is my usual size, they do fit loosely, so I recommend going with your smaller size.
The Crater wash of these is really pretty though, I generally own lighter AG washes as they do those to perfection, but I thought it was about time that I had a darker pair. You can see from the photos that it’s worn in all the right places, like the thighs, knees and lap whiskers, so it does look like a true, aged wash. This definitely made them easier to style though!
For my styling challenge, I decided to keep things a little sleeker and I paired them with a burgundy faux leather biker jacket which I layered over a white sleeveless shirt. Since I adore burgundy for Autumn, I also chose some burgundy heels to finish the look and a gold cross necklace.
I feel like this is definitely something classic that I would wear on a regular basis, it really shows my personality, especially when it comes to jeans and burgundy! You can see the jeans close up below and see all of their details too!
