James Jeans is one of my favourite denim brands and you can imagine my excitement when I heard they were bringing out a brand new fit, the James Twiggy Dancer. It’s a breakthrough jeans for the brand when it comes to second skin fit. The James Twiggy Dancer is as seamless and durable as a yoga pant, while utilizing the latest innovations in denim fabrication and construction. The brand called upon one of the worlds leading denim mills (ISKO) to create a hybrid between their best selling denim and their favourite pair of yoga pants. The James Twiggy Dancer is the denim cross-over to yoga wear the world has been waiting for, transitioning you seamlessly from work to warrior pose.
Derived from her love of dance, yoga and fitness, Seun wanted to create a super-skinny that could take her from work straight to the gym. She took her best selling James Twiggy Patterns back to the drafting table for what ended up being a full re-design. The removal of all outer seams gives them an ultra-aerodynamic look, increases flexibility and visually slims the leg from thigh to ankle. The base denim utilises the ISKO REFORM stretch technology, promoting outstanding stretch and recovery to keep them in place and maintain their shape after wear. ISKO PJ SOFT gives each wash the highest level of comfort and the fabric offers true day to night wearability without ever feeling constricted. The patented Flex Fit powered by ISKO is exclusive to James Jeans and it looks amazing!
These new Dancer jeans come in 4 different washes for the launch: Oil Slicked – gorgeous glossed approach to this elegant and timeless silhouette. Black Swan – ultimate black legging. Arabesque – dark sultry and undeniably sexy tonal stitching and a hint of sheen gives an upscale dressier feel and finally, Point Blue – the essential medium dark indigo combined with contrasting stitching to keep it casual.

TJB – What inspired you to create the new Twiggy Dancer?
Catherine – Our owner, Seun, has loved yoga, dance, and fitness all her life, and wanted to create a super-skinny that could take her from work straight to the gym, and out for cocktails after! She took her best-selling James Twiggy patterns back to the drafting table for what ended up being a full re-design, resulting in the innovatively seamless Twiggy Dancer.
TJB – Can you really do ballet and yoga in them and still remain comfortable and flexible?
Catherine – Absolutely! The base denim utilizes the ISKO REFORMTM stretch technology, promoting outstanding stretch and recovery to keep them in place and maintain shape wear after wear through a variety of activities and a full range of movement.
TJB – They are based off the Twiggy fit, so do they still fit exactly the same?
Catherine – They fit exactly the same as your favorite pair of James Twiggy!
TJB – Do you have plans to release the Dancer in other washes?
Catherine – Definitely stay tuned for exciting new washes and styles for the James Twiggy Dancer, which is quickly becoming both a James Jeans classic and favorite.
TJB – There are a lot of super stretch/sweat pant jeans out at the moment, what makes these unique?
Catherine – The denim market has seen the arrival of super-stretch/sweatpant jeans, but nothing like the James Twiggy Dancer.
