For many of us, finding the perfect pair of jeans is an ongoing quest that is often best guided by celebrity fashion inspiration and denim experts like us. After all, we do have a whole section dedicated to celebs in denim! We can never get enough of their looks and their trend advice.

Stars like actress Natalie Portman, for example, actually made recent headlines by rocking skinny jeans in August, despite the trend falling out of popularity in favor of oversized denim. Skinny jeans are a staple now, as we mentioned before, but in order to be trendy, you need to be rocking the baggy fits.

The influence of celebrities extends beyond just fashion inspiration though. Celebrities can also inspire people to explore health, fitness and weight loss options to fit their desired looks or help you to feel your best – especially when it comes to fitting in staples like jeans, and looking good in them.

A lot of us will look at celebrity tips, reviews or testimonials on certain products, especially when it comes to scrutinizing how they managed to lose weight, leading us to research weight loss medications and then comparing options like Saxenda vs Wegovy. The latter, which in a different dosage is known as the celebrity favorite Ozempic – remember how popular this one was, or still is? The latter has been shown to induce 20% more weight loss than the former. This has already sparked the interest of many fashion enthusiasts who might feel like they need to shed a few pounds, or want to have a certain body type that they feel is necessary for styles like low-rise jeans, or just simply for those looking to get help to fit their old jeans.

If you’re a jean lover and are currently going through a body or weight transformation, we have some different styling tips and advice that will definitely help you! Jeans have a really important role in our wardrobes and they’re here for us at every weight.

Explore different textures and shapes

Oversize pants, particularly baggy jeans, have made a triumphant comeback since Levi’s declared skinny jeans dead in 2021. Luckily, styling these relaxed-fit wonders is easier for most body types.

When opting for baggy jeans, it’s essential to maintain balance in your outfit. Pairing these roomy bottoms with more fitted tops creates visual harmony. As creative consultant Laura Brown does, you can go bold with a pop of color with floral shirts from Dôen or Etro men’s. Similarly, don’t shy away from experimenting with layering tight-fitting tops to add texture and depth to your ensemble.

Embrace transformation and personal style

Ultimately, trends are only meant to guide our fashion choices, not dictate them. Your personal style will naturally follow suit as your body and the fashion world undergo transformations.

The key is to embrace these changes in your body and wardrobe wholeheartedly. Whether you gravitate towards the figure-hugging allure of skinny jeans or decide to dip your toes into the trend of baggy jeans, your choice should resonate with your developing personal style. Fashion shouldn’t be restrictive, so don’t be afraid to experiment and just find a pair that works for your personal journey.

Find your perfect pair

If your body is undergoing changes and you find yourself content with your new physique, it may be the perfect time to look for a pair of jeans that complements your current body type. Our previous post on Jeans Advice explains that there’s a pair of jeans for every shape, from bootcut for the pear-shaped to wide legs for the athletic bodies. These work to balance out your proportions and prevent the form and structure of your jeans from wearing out much sooner.

Remember, personal style and self-assuredness are pivotal in choosing the perfect pair. Explore various styles and fits, and ultimately select the look that allows you to exude the most confidence and comfort.

Prolong the life of your jeans

No matter whether you’re in the process of shedding pounds or gaining confidence, one common denim woe is dealing with wear and tear, especially in the inner thigh area. One effective strategy, according to Wardrobe Oxygen is to apply denim patches to the inner thighs before wearing your jeans. These patches act as protective shields, significantly reducing the likelihood of blowouts.

Should your jeans develop holes in the midst of adjusting to the changes in your body, consider using fabric patches to cover them, granting your jeans a new lease on life. Otherwise, try finding a higher percentage of denim for your future pairs. These are made of more cotton and less polyester, so you’ll get even more strength and durability than ever before.

If you don’t want to buy a new pair of jeans just yet, but they have become too big, try shrinking your jeans with methods we have provided before, or even getting the waist tailored. If you have an expensive pair of premium or designer jeans, it’s much cheaper to tailor them than it is to buy a new pair. Plus, it’s the most sustainable option.

Whether you’re on a weight loss journey, gaining newfound confidence, or simply evolving your style, jeans can serve as your trusted companions. So, embrace the changes and use these tips to ensure your jeans always harmonize with your body and evolving lifestyle. After all, everyone here lives in denim every single day and it’s a huge part of a lot of the population’s wardrobe.

I’m a curvier lady and love a nice loose boyfriend for but often find they are either rigid or don’t go up to my size. Love this post x

That’s true, there are some with stretch now though and in bigger sizes, from American Eagle or Good American.
