FRAME Le High Jeans in Faded Light Purple
As Summer is approaching, what better time to change up your denim game and opt for something funky, fun and bright? Coloured jeans took over the jeans world by storm a few years ago and every celebrity, style blogger and denim enthusiast was wearing them, from the bright neon pink and yellow to the subtle blush tones of lavender and mint. There was even a brand called M2F (anyone remember them?) that specialised in coloured denim with a vintage wash – I loved mine.
Then, without warning, the colours turned to prints and the more extravagant they were, the better. We were wearing jeans with photos digitally printed on them (remember the Hudson Nico city prints?) and camo and floral was huge, as was the famous leopard and zebra prints from Current/Elliott. It was a trend that was lively and had everyone swooning over because it was different.
After this, everything had been done so we went back to the drawing board with classic washes and focused on fits instead. We’ve had so many different cuts coming out from straight, cropped flares, vintage fits and more, most of them unflattering to myself so I’ve been a bit in the back seat lately, however you can imagine my excitement when I saw (like I knew would happen soon) that coloured jeans were back on the scene!
Yep, you heard me! The trend of Summer 2018 is brightly coloured denim again! Luckily, most of these washes come in skinny fits and are cropped with higher rises, making them the perfect go to pairs for the warmer weather. I’m falling in love with the lavender purple and blush pinks, but I’m really feeling the bright oranges too. There’s so many pretty shades that I don’t think one pair would be enough, do you? Some lovely colours, summers definitely coming ????
I’d go for the purple ones but they’re cropped leg so no good for me. I bought some real skinny red jeggings this week, 32″ inside leg and they only just cover my ankle. That’s the problem I find when they’re so skintight, they look and feel great on, the the leg rides up a bit too much. I much prefer them to totally cover my ankle so will have to look out for 34″
