Paige Denim Edgemont Skinny Jeans in Pewter Crackle Metallic Review

My denim review this week is on the gorgeous Paige Denim Edgemont skinny jeans in Pewter Crackle Metallic. I got these a month or so ago and I think they are so much fun! Especially around the holiday or party season! Unlike a lot of bright and shiny metallic jeans which can be very bold and in your face, these have a muted pewter tone and a crackle effect to them making them much more subtle and subdued, for easy wearing, which is perfect!

The Edgemont fit is a classic super skinny jean from Paige featuring a front rise of 8 inches, an inseam of around 30 inches and a leg opening of just over 10 inches. So you can see it’s a really flattering mid rise skinny. The weight of the denim is around 9.7 ounces and is made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, however unlike most Paige jeans, due to the heavy metallic coating over the top of the denim, they feel really thick and don’t have much stretch to them, so in terms of sizing, I recommend taking your bigger size if you are between two, or sizing up if you don’t want to be suctioned in. I did take my regular size 26, but they are pretty tight and squashy on me. Even though they don’t have much stretch, they are still pretty comfortable, easy wearing and good to wear for a going out look. I don’t think I could personally manage them all day, but definitely for an evening which they are intended.

As you can see on the Edgemont, they have 2 slightly diagonal zippers either side of the hips. These do zip open and closed, but they are not functioning pockets as they have no pocket backs underneath them. They really give the plain skinny jean such an edge though! I actually own 3 pairs of Edgemont skinny jeans, in various colours, and I can’t get enough of them. While we are speaking about aesthetics and design, these jeans do feature the plain Paige pockets so there is no signature curve stitching on the back, only the bar tabs on the left side of the left pocket, so you can tell they are Paige.

Getting back to the metallic though, I can definitely see these looking amazing dressed up with a black blazer and a coloured shirt, or even going for a monochrome look with white, black and grey! They do have that luxurious feel to them which will just make your outfit stand out from anyone else, but in a stylish way. When I first got these, the belt loops were actually stuck to the jeans due to the coating making them sticky as they dried, but they easily peeled off without any trouble. I would say that these jeans were made originally and then sprayed with the metallic pewter as under the belt loops you can see regular denim as well as on the inside of the jeans and inside of the pockets, just in case you were wondering how it was done.

I can’t wait to style these for an outfit which I can share with you soon, but in the meantime, here are up close, detailed shots of the jeans so you can get a good idea how they look and what the metallic coating is like. What do you think of them? They also come in other colours like bronze, blue, purple and more, which you can see by clicking here. Buy these jeans online at Paige.com in the USA or Selfridges.com in the UK.
