Citizens of Humanity Corey Straight Leg Boyfriend Jeans in Outpost review

My next denim review is on the Citizens of Humanity Corey Straight Leg Boyfriend Jeans in Outpost. I got these jeans a couple of months ago and I have been in love with them since. As soon as I opened the package and took one look at the wash, I was hooked! I’ve mentioned before that Citizens have really took a turnaround over the past 2 years and this year especially has been incredible for them in terms of fits and washes. Their vintage reserve collection is one of my favourites as it uses washes that look authentic and really worn in, giving them a true feel which is what I look for in jeans.

Getting to the Corey fit, these jeans have a 10.75 inch rise, an inseam of 28.75 inches and a leg opening of 13 inches. These may seem quite extreme if you are used to the usual skinny jeans, but because these are styled slouchy and designed to be worn with a cuff, they fit extremely well. I took them in a size 26 which is my usual size and they fit with a slight slouch to them, much like a tapered, looser fitting boyfriend but one that has structure to it. They aren’t really baggy and they aren’t tight, they have an in-between fit which is just right. Some people size down so that they fit slimmer, but I recommend taking your normal size as they look perfect worn like that.

The denim is made up of 98% cotton and 2% polyurethane, making them really stretchy, but the fabric definitely has some weight to it. They aren’t thick, but they have a nice feel to them which makes them feel worth their money and time. I’ve worn these lots of times for days and sitting in them, walking in them and everything else is extremely comfortable due to the slouchier fit and extra space.

Now getting to the Outpost wash, I have to say that it’s one of my favourites from them. If you take a look at these in person, you will be amazed by the details, just like I was. The amount of work gone into these to get them to look worn in and authentic is incredible. The whiskering on the lap and thighs, the honeycombs on the back of the knees, the fading on the thighs and butt area, the distressing around the tops of the pockets and hem line, the holes and rips in the correct places… all coupled with a gorgeous blue wash which is washed out and faded to perfection.

If you have longer legs, I think you can definitely get away with wearing them full length as well as cuffed, they can give a nice appearance that way as you can see at the bottom of this post! But all in all, I can’t find any negatives with these jeans at all. I like to list positive and negative points during all my reviews, but I can’t find anything wrong with these. I love them that much that I’m even afraid to wear them too much in case I ruin them! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great boyfriend jean!
